Abstract: The stages of formation and development of iron ore industry of Gornoy Shorii as the basis of raw materials industry of Kuzbass. Based on the assessment of the current state of development of ore deposits of Tashtagol region, the role of owners, local self-government and science propose a strategy for further development of ore mines - branches of "Evrazruda", allowing to ensure stability and competitive advantage in the market.
