Abstract: The theoretical fundamentals of the decontamination process with the use of liquid СО2 are given. The mechanism of hydrocarbon decontamination of the surface and pore throats using the thermal “shock” and the “gas wedge” is proposed, the efficiency of cleaning is considered.
