Abstract: The author analyzes discussion devoted to Ilyin’s book among Russian emigrants of the middle twenties of XX century. The article reconstructs the philosophical-methodological foundations of Ilyin's conception and views of his opponents. Author highlights the complexity of the problem under discussion and points to the subjectivity and totalitarianism of Ilyin's position.
