Abstract: In the article urban distribution centres use features for delivery of goods to consumers urban agglomerations in conjunction with the decisions of the objectives defined by the concept of urban logistics are considered. Examples of such centres in other European cities are considered, problems for their establishment and operation when selecting priority develop-ment of cities, the prospects for the creation and expansion of urban distribution centres in Russia are discussed.
