Abstract: The typical scheme of excavation for overburden bench mining over the top coal seam is developed. The advance rate of the transportless front of operations is defined; necessary productivity of a career shovel for mining of coal-bearing zones is defined; passports of working faces on seams and inter-seams are defined.
