Abstract: The reasons for methane hazard during coal excavation by shearers at mines are exposed. The conditions for dependence of the intensity of coal production from the technical capacity of shearers, and limiting gas factor are studied. The quantity appraisal of coal production intensity enhancement by shearers in gas hazardous faces is given.
