Abstract: In the given work revealing of factors which make significant impact on a surface roughness at turning processing is made. The factors considered in work are: speed of cutting, feed of cutting, depth of cutting, the main corner of a cutter, radius at cutter top, deterioration of the tool, a material of a detail and a tool material. The estimation of a significance value of factors is made by means of the eliminating experiment constructed on the basis of supersated plans, the diagramme of dispersion considered factors is under construction and the statistical significance value of factors by means of criterion Student's is estimated.
