Abstract: Of various methods of separation of solid phase micron particles with paramagnetic properties from hydro-heterogeneous systems the most prospective appear to be magnetic ones. The paper presents analytical investigations of mag-netic separation for two-component system "paramagnetic particulates - viscous liquid".The process mechanism and distribu-tion of volume concentrations in stream under steady and unsteady conditions are considered.
