Abstract: A brief review of literature works describing the support effects on the structure and physical-chemical properties of supported chromia catalysts is presented. Molecular structure and reducibility of chromium oxo-compounds supported on mineral carriers have been found to be determined by total chromium loading in the samples, acid-base properties of the supports and the interaction strength of supported CrOx species with mineral supports.
Key words: supported chromia catalysts nature of mineral supports structure of surface chromia species reducibility
