Abstract: In the experimental PT diagrams of system coal - pore water – methane defined areas of high methane gas release, cor-responding to the decomposition and formation of clathrate compounds - methane gas hydrates. Change in the amount of methane and the rate of decomposition and the formation of hydrates in these areas was calculated.
