Abstract: Within the limits of the hydrodynamics linear theory the problem about influence moving inside sump of ideal liquid on floating pontoon is considered and it is shown that influence of liquid on pontoon is revealed in increasing of its inertial characteristics. It is established that pontoon movements on water surface are periodic, representing vertical lateral and longi-tudinal rolling.
