Abstract: The new methods of levulinic acid (LA) and 5-hydroxymethylfurfural synthesis from hexose carbohydrates are studied. The new acid-catalyzed systems water-dioxane and water-butanol at presence of sodium and potassium hydrosulphates are developed. The product yield is attained 80 mol.% in water-butanol system and this result is unique for low and high-temperature processes.
