Abstract: Urgent task of diagnostics improvement as related to the rational troubleshooting algorithm elaboration is considered in the article. The certain mode preference function taking into account the structural information about the object is proposed. A program of search algorithm elaboration is developed in Turbo Pascal programming support environment on the basis of the latter.
