Abstract: Paper compares the existing techniques for hydraulic and pneumatic test pressure equipment at hazardous production facilities. We analyze the usefulness of the "stress test" and measuring the volumetric expansion compared with conventional tests. Application of acoustic emission method in tests with possible plastic deformation is justified.
