Abstract: The paper discloses a technology for assignment of calculated values of moisture, strength, and deformability characteristics of clay subgrade soils. Main features of the geographical complex that determine the variability of characteristics of the water-and-thermal regime of subgrade soils are presented. Recommendations on assignment of calculated values of characteristics of the most common clay subgrade soils in the studied area are given.
