Abstract: Considered the most important discoveries of the great physicists of the XVIII - XIX centuries: Henry Amper - about the nature of the appearance of magnetism due to the occurrence of molecular galvanic currents flowing around each particle of the magnetic body in a certain direction; Samuel Morse - about the invention of the writing machine and Telegraph alphabet (Morse alphabet); Humphry Devi, the founder of the mechanical theory heat - on the influence of electric current on chemical compounds, the phenomenon of the electric arc and the action of various gases and gas mixtures on the human body and animals; Michael Faraday - from-blocked magnetic rotation of the plane of polarization, the phenomena of electromagnetic induction; Heinrich Hertz - the opening of the electromagnetic theory of light; Nikola Tesla - about getting high currents cha-frequency and high voltage; Wilhelm Rentgen - about the discovery of X-rays.
Key words: galvanic current electromagnetism electrolysis electrochemical equi-valent the speed of light x-ray X-ray
