Abstract: The pace of introduction of information and communication tools are growing every year, but the effectiveness of their using remains iow, particularly in the management of complex organizations, such as the university. Purpose of the work is analysis and identification of key issues and challenges of implementation of automated systems to increase the efficiency of officials in the planning of the educational process. Methods of the work: methods of analysis and synthesis, analysis of specific situations and the method of analysis of regulations and also methods: implementation of decisions, structural changes, the criterion of evaluation; methods of structural changes, methods of information request, information support, the method of content analysis and the method of continuous improvement, monitoring method, the method of exchanging information and forming attitudes, teaching method based on analysis of experiences and best practices, technology process approach to the organization. The resuit of the work is the formation of the desired structure of the automated system to support management decisions based on the identified characteristics and shortcomings, as well as directions for their implementation.
