Abstract: Results of physical and chemical properties of Kuzbass coal seams are given. It is shown that with the help of modern technical and methodological tools for understanding of the properties and states of coal and methane seams can be quantita-tively clarified their performances, even in such a complex part as thermodynamics of interaction of coal and gas. The work was supported by the interdisciplinary integration project of SB RAS ¹ 99, grant of Russian Federal Property Fund No. 10-05-98009-r_sibir_a.
