Abstract: The urgency of the discussed issue: The development of coal seams may be accompanied by discontinuities undermined earth's surface with the appearance of concentrated deformations. The rating process of discrete displacements is special section in the theory of rocks movement. There are no unambiguous interpretation of the discrete nature and the methods of discrete analysis. The main aim of the study: The study’s object is methodological developing for analysis of discrete displacement of the undermined earth's surface. The methods used in the study: If the distance between the reference points is not more than 5 meters than the discrete process of Earth’s surface displacement is revealed. It is shown that the concentrated deformation analysis can be produced by the theory of random functions and wavelet transforms. The results: The methods of the theory of random numbers revealed the presence of random and nonrandom (periodic) components in the Earth's surface deformations character. Their quantitative assessment is made. The using of method of wavelet transforms has staging character. Analyses carried out on field observations made in the mines of Kuzbass coal region.
