Abstract: The urgency of the discussed issue. Soil contamination with oil products is a serious environmental threat. Strengthening of anthropogenic impact on the environment predetermine the need for research aimed at identifying the conditions for safe operation of both natural and created in the course of human industrial activity ecosystems. The main aim of the study: To substantiate the method of assessing the initial and residual soil contamination. The methods used in the study: A quantitative assessment of the content of petroleum products on the measured electrical resistivity of contaminated soil. The results: The theoretical premise software systems and algorithms for the evaluation of the content of petroleum products according to electrical measurements at the point on the profile and volume of soil. The results of a laboratory experiment to determine the oil content of the soil sample and comparing the data with the results of the calculation in the software package. Obtained regression relationship between the physical properties of the soil.
Key words: petroleum electric resistivity soil structural parameters fouling factor
