Abstract: A model of an approximate estimate of the resource of critical weld joints with an internal crack-like defect in the weld root during creep was developed. For the normal fracture crack a Y.N.Rabotny kinetic equation of damage was modified by adding of the second parameter of damage, characterizing the crack growth, in the structure of the equation. The calculation model is based on metallographic study results of bench tests on the long-term strength of the welded joints, loaded with internal pressure at steady creep.
