Abstract: The urgency of the discussed issue is that it is necessary to organize independent work and practical work at foreign language classes properly taking into consideration individual and psychological characteristics of students. The main aim of the study is to reveal the most effective teaching methods for independent work and practical work at foreign language classes taking into consideration individual and psychological characteristics of students. The methods used in the study are analysis of teaching literature on the issues of organizing independent work and practical work at foreign language classes taking into consideration individual and psychological characteristics of students and revealing the most effective methods to work on this subject. General information of individual and psychological characteristics of the institute students is considered, the examples of teaching methods and ways of learning process organizing at foreign language practical classes as well as during independent work on this subject are given. During this work we have got the following results: having well organized independent work and practical work at foreign language classes taking into consideration individual and psychological characteristics of students the efficiency of foreign language learning will be much improved.
