Abstract: The processing results of the extensive statistical material characterizing the level of a power consumption of Kuzbass coal mines are presented. At the same time at statement of research problems recognized from the fact that the power consumption of mine is function of many variables.It has allowed to reveal tendencies in development not only a power consumption, but also many other factors determining its level: deepening of mining operations, growth of gas content and, therefore, increase in an expense of the electric power at airing of excavations, increase of water profuseness, etc. On the basis of statistical researches it is shown that the worsening mining-and-geological conditions of Kuzbass coal mines lead to increase in a specific expense of the electric power. Quantitative estimates of influence extent of mining-and-geological and mining factors on mine power consumption are established. The presented results can be applied to the solution of increase of use efficiency of the electric power on coal mines both at a design stage, and to conditions of normal operation of the enterprise.
