Abstract: This article describes methods and results of laboratory simulation of processes in the clay soils contaminated by oil substances in samples, one-dimensional and three-dimensional physical models. It describes the laboratory installations, the procedure for conducting experiments and processing their results. The study confirms the possibility of point and integrated prediction of the degree of contamination of the soil based on the measurements of its electrical resistance. It identifies the dynamics of changes of porosity, moisture content, granulometric composition of soils contaminated with oil products during electric treatment due to thermal and osmotic effects by comparing the data of direct measurements and electrical control by the system of microprobes. The article presents comparison of the results obtained in electric treatment of clean soils, soils contaminated with liquid and viscous oil, as well as when additionally exposed to an active substance – solvent.
