Abstract: New coordination compounds of copper(II) with derivatives of pyridine and piperazine of following composition: (Кat+n)(3-n)[CuCl4], n = 1, 2, have been synthesized. Compounds have been investigated by TGA, DSC, IR spectroscopy, and magnetic susceptibility measurements. Crystal structures have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The study of the molar magnetic susceptibility dependence on the temperature within the temperature range 2-310 K showed that the exchange interactions between the unpaired electrons of the copper(II) ions are ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic, depending on the composition of the complex.
