Abstract: One of the main problems of management of the Housing Fund of the Russian Federation, i.e. improvement of the quality of housing and communal services, needs to be addressed in stages, based on international experience of effective management of multifamily housing (MFH) and implementing it into practice in Russia to the extent possible. The article reviews the most advanced knowledge in the sphere of management of apartment houses. The difference in the authorities’ approach to the management of MFH abroad and in Russia encourages our municipalities to implement approved long-term experience of other countries.
