Abstract: The proposed method of drilling rotary-percussion method with partial transformation of longitudinal shock pulse in high-power pulsed torque. This increases the proportion of the rock being destroyed due to shear deformation, compared to a share being destroyed by compression, the Energy intensity of destruction of rocks during drilling is reduced. The transformation of the longitudinal momentum occurs naturally twisted rod included in the drop system.
