Abstract: The article presents the calculation scheme to determine the parameters of stability of selective action boom-type roadheaders with two-bits reverse cutting tools. The calculation of the roadheader stability coefficient was made taking into consideration the design and power parameters of the disk rock crushing tool fitted in the triangular prisms of reversible bits, and the strength properties of rock in the heading faces. It was found out that the angles of workings to the horizon in the underground space affect the scheme solutions in the design of the roadheader in order to increase the stability coefficient in a wide range of strength characteristics of the broken face strata.
