Abstract: The article is devoted to the scientific issues related to optimization of energy, algorithmic control, analysis of dynamic properties and control of electric drive with the series-wound motor in transient processes to find the optimal control from the point of view of energy losses. Series-wound motors are widely used in various fields from traction electric drives to home electric appliances and hand electric tools. The results of the study cited in the article ascertain the presence of scientific issues related to energy optimization of such systems. Out of the whole range of optimization problems, the article raises the issue of management efficiency. In the analysis of electromagnetic processes and the functional control synthesis the authors used dynamic programming principle and V. V. Solodovnikov spectral method as well as simulation in Matlab Simulink.
