Abstract: The structure, mechanical, acoustic and magnetic characteristics of metal samples of such destroyed parts of quarry transport as hydraulic cylinders of an excavator are studied. A significant spread of data on the chemical composition of metal, hardness and characteristics of non-destructive testing is identified. The results of the investigation of metal samples by destructive and non-destructive methods of control are compared showing that the spectral-acoustic method of non-destructive testing can be used to control the quality of the critical machine parts under conditions of import substitution.
