Abstract: The features of application of the nickel-chromium coatings, in particular, PG-10N-01 coating are considered. Polarization investigations of the electrochemical dissolution of PG-10N-01 coating in aqueous solution of neutral salts NaNO3, Na2SO4, NaСl in potentiodynamic modes are presented. The scheme of installation for conducting investigations is presented. It is found, that dissolution of the coating in an aqueous solution of 10% Na2SO4 takes place in the active state before the potential φ = 9 V at imax=13 А/сm2. When the coating PG-10N-01 is dissolved in 10% NaNO3 solution, there are areas of active (φ = 1 ... 8 V) and passive (φ = 8 ... 9 V) dissolution at the maximum current density imax= 12,3 А/сm2. The revealed features of electrochemical disso-lution of the chromium-nickel coating PG-10N-01 allow to set the values of electric powered diamond grinding of parts with coatings..
