Abstract: The main issues of rational use of land in the mining of minerals by the open method are solved first during the design of quarries. They are either included in the form of a section in the main technical project of the field development, or set out in a separate volume of the technical project of development, or are developed in the form of a special open-pit mine reclamation project. This is due to the fact that the solution of such important tasks of quarrying as the mining regime, the opening scheme and the career development system determine the shape and intensity of land disturbance. Environmental measures planned by a quarry or a mining company are designed to compensate for the negative impact of open-pit mining on the environment and thus, in the operation of a quarry, regularly plan and carry out measures to reduce the damage caused by production to nature. To this end, based on design decisions for long-term mining planning for a period of 15-20 years, comprehensive conservation plans are developed with five-year periods, and in the closest to this period, with a breakdown by year to specify the tasks and ways to solve them. These tasks are constantly relevant and require their early resolution.
