Abstract: The current or annual planning of mining operations is carried out on the basis of the perspective five-year plan and is carried out from the position of mining operations most likely to be achieved at the end of the current year in the open-pit space. In turn, the five-year plan for the production of mining is developed at a quarry by year and determines the position of mining and the number of products both by year and as a whole over the five-year period. At the same time, the development contours of mining operations are adjusted in comparison with the previously conducted landmark long-term (10-15 years) planning. The objectives of the five-year plan: the defini-tion of annual and final for the period of planning contours and volumes of rock mass, the required volume of capital investments for the construction of revealing workings and the purchase of new mining transport equip-ment, planning productivity, profits and other technical and economic indicators. The basis of the five-year plan-ning is the planning of the provisions of the mining works from what was achieved at the beginning of planning and their development, with the determination of volumes by years for the period in question. Given the high complexity of the mining and geological conditions of central Kuzbass, mining planning is a very time-consuming procedure, the features of which are discussed in this article.
