Abstract: The article describes a method for calculating the pre-repair and full life of a plain bearing according to wear criteria for various repair methods. The proposed calculation is based on the assumption that the process of wear of bearing parts is steady, i.e. the wear rates of the bearing shaft neck and liners are constant and do not depend on the operating time. The need to determine the life of bearings arises both when designing dynamic equipment (compressors, turbines, pumps, etc.) and when operating this equipment, for example, when developing repair schedules or when determining the residual life. The essence of the considered method of calculating the resource consists in the compilation of mathematical models for a controlled parameter, by which the magnitude of the bearing defect is estimated. Then the resource is calculated by this model. Its value is equal to the time at which the defect reaches its maximum value. Depending on the method of bearing restoration, the corresponding parameters are entered into the model, for example, the degree of resource recovery, processing allowance for supporting necks, the proportion of repairs with the restoration of necks, etc.
