Abstract: The article describes the methodology for testing DIY-projects of technological equipment, which can be created both individually and by groups of students within the framework of project work, as part of the educational process. The technique makes it possible to check the reliability and stability of the operation of the created technological equipment, as well as taking into account the stringent test conditions (cyclicity, duration), it makes it possible to assess the potential of the device, and, if this happens, to identify its shortcomings. The structure of the methodology consists of 3 main tests, each of which is described in detail in the article giving experimentally obtained test parameters and the source code of the required software. The topic of testing DIY projects in a training laboratory or at home (in a garage workshop) has not been sufficiently discussed in the relevant literature.
