Abstract: Analysis of alteration of stress state in rocks in the outer crust of earth during transition of mining to deeper horizons has been carried out. It is revealed that horizontal tectonic forces are prevalent in mineral mining regions of the world. It has been found necessary to develop the geomechaniс systematization of ore deposits by data on the geotectonic features of their occurrence.
