Abstract: One of the highly loaded components of the machine, in particular, of the dump truck, are the wheel mounting elements. The fastening elements include threaded parts (nuts, studs or bolts), additionally there may be clamps that are used to fix the wheels on the hub. It is noted that the ability to determine the influence of the parameters of threaded parts and their number on the strength of the stud (threaded) connections, the required tightening torques allows for their optimal selection, thereby ensuring the safety of the machine. In the previous study, the acting forces on the front wheel of a mining dump truck with a load capacity of 220 tons were determined and calculated for the design case for rectilinear movement of a machine with a lateral tilt angle. In this article, the APM Joint module of the WinMachine system is used to determine the impact. The study is conducted in two stages. At the first stage, geometry schemes with different numbers of stud connections are set, while their parameters remain unchanged. At the second stage, schemes with different parameters of stud connections are set, while their number remains unchanged. The calculation results for each of the stages are summarized in tables. As a result of the study, it was found that an increase in the number of hairpin joints has a positive and proportional effect on the distribution of loads between them. At the same time, an increase in such a parameter of threaded parts as the thread size proportionally increases the safety margin of the stud joint, however, the required tightening torque increases
