Abstract: The article presents the results of a study of the loads on the fastening elements of the wheels of the front axle of the BelAZ 7530. Carrying out research and development work is accompanied by the search and analysis of existing technical solutions for the construction of dump trucks, including wheel mounting elements to the hub. To confirm the results of the conducted studies of the loads of the front wheel mounting elements to the hub for the 220-ton lifting capacity of the BCS being developed, it was decided to conduct similar calculations of the BelAZ 7530, as the closest analogue. To calculate the pin connection of the BelAZ 7530 front axle wheel, measurements were made of the dimensions of its hub and fastening elements (clamps, nuts and studs). The determination of the loads of loads on the fastening elements of the wheels of the front axle of the BelAZ 7530 was carried out in the APM Joint software. As a result of the study, it was found that in order to meet the conditions of non-opening of the joint with 15 clamps on the 7530 shaft, a tightening torque of 885 N · m (tightening force of 129202 N) is required. The maximum load on one of the pins is 181883 N, and the safety factor is 2.99. The maximum pressure on the interface surfaces of the clamps with the rim is 226 MPa. The difference between the required tightening torque for the front wheels from the BelAZ 7530 operating manual and the calculated tightening torque in the article is about 1.5 times. This difference may be related to the choice of the calculation case: Current studies consider the loads on the wheel mounting elements in rectilinear motion, while the manufacturer takes into account the most loaded mode - turning the machine.
