Abstract: Economic substantiation of the height of overburden bench for various types of excavators is given. Describes the pre-requisites for the application of high overburden benches in overburden zone on opencast mines of Kuzbass in the transition to the development of deeper levels of transport (using vehicles) technology. Variants of technological schemes of stripping on the ledge, and a combination of complex equipment in relation to uglubochnoy development system are shown.
