Abstract: The technology of production of abrasive tools directly affects both their performance characteristics and the parameters of the abrasive processing process itself, including the quality of the processed surface. In turn, the process of mixing the components of the abrasive mixture largely determines the final performance parameters of the tool, which determines the relevance of conducting research on this process. As part of the research, the following tasks were set: to develop a model that accurately describes the process of obtaining the abrasive mass and to identify the influence of the formulation and mixing mode on its technological parameters. The paper analyzes the effect of the mixture composition and the method of mixing ingredients on the physical and mechanical characteristics of the abrasive tool. It describes the technological scheme for producing ceramic-bonded products. The paper presents generalized statistical models that reflect the relationship between the mixture components and the final properties of the products. A mathematical model has been developed that simulates the mixing process of abrasive masses. Based on the results of the study, practical recommendations have been formulated to improve the quality of abrasive wheels by optimizing their composition and mixing modes. It has been noted that the coefficient of internal friction of the mass has a significant impact on the mixing time. The research has shown that an increase in this coefficient leads to a longer homogenization time. Therefore, it is advisable to use various approaches to reduce the coefficient of internal friction, such as introducing special technological additives in the form of выгорающие or non-burning fillers. An important factor in the mixing process is the uniform distribution of ingredients in the mixture volume, which is influenced by the sequence of loading and the specific weight of individual components.
