Abstract: The article is devoted to the most loaded welded joints of the crankcase of the bridge of a 220-ton dump truck. to further enhance the durability of the welded joints of the crankcase bridge of the dump truck. The article notes the relevance of increasing the durability of welded joints of dump trucks. The main methods of increasing the durability of welded joints are presented. It is noted that the importance of conducting refined calculations of welded joints at the design stage is increasing. They allow you to evaluate the durability of joints with their different location and design, taking into account the characteristics of the welds. Based on the calculation results, it is possible to adjust the design and geometry of the joints, to give recommendations on the purpose of the structural design of the seam in the design documentation, which reduces the durability of the structure. The object of research is presented, which is the welded crankcase of the rear axle of a 220-ton dump truck. The description of the crankcase design is given. The rationale for using simplified models at the first stages of evaluation to determine the total load of welded joints is given. For the calculations, a typical loading mode was used – suspension breakdown, corresponding to three times the total mass (the total vertical acceleration of 3G acts on the car). As a result, we obtained a picture of the stress-strain state of the rear axle crankcase in suspension breakdown mode, and a diagram of the distribution of the main tensile stresses as the most dangerous. The conclusions of the study are made. The overlapping foam of the connection of the upper sheet with the bridge pipe was chosen as the object of further research.
