Abstract: This paper presents some of the results of an analysis of diagnostic data characterizing the technical condition of mining equipment of various makes and designs operated at Kuzbass coal mines. The analysis allowed us to identify the main causes of equipment failure, classify the underlying defects, and propose solutions for minimizing emergency failures of mining equipment. Proposals for reducing recorded vibration levels are based on an innovative approach to using diagnostic results with new diagnostic criteria. The main objectives of this work are to search for the causes of increased vibration of mining equipment, as well as to test new unified diagnostic criteria for solving problems related to assessing the technical condition of the equipment being examined and predicting the occurrence of emergency failures. To address the objectives of this research, a comprehensive diagnostic approach to vibration parameter analysis was used, as well as a method for optimal scalarization of the recorded diagnostic characteristics. An analysis of the results of diagnostic measurements, as well as a study of the statistics of failures of energy-mechanical equipment of mining machines, made it possible to find a systemic solution to the problem of exceeding the standard vibration indicators, leading to an increase in the number of failures of the diagnosed equipment, and to propose ways to reduce the vibration load of mining equipment units using new criteria for diagnosing the actual condition and the results of predictive modeling of defect development processes. The proposed improvement of the mining equipment repair management system will reduce the cost of coal production and improve the safety of mining operations, minimizing the risk of accidents arising from the unacceptable technical condition of mining equipment.
